Some time ago now I spent 8 days in Berlin with one of my closest friends. Days were spent trawling vintage shops for pieces to bring back to England, while nights were spent in retro bars and anti-mainstream clubs.
It was lovely to spend more time in Berlin after the extremely cold visit in February. The sun shone for most of this recent visit, and I even purchased 2 pairs of sunglasses! (A breakthrough for me, the sunglass virgin).
Kilo sales could be found all across Berlin, allowing for fantastic purchases including a yellow checked shirt and stripy blue and white jumper (very sailor chic). Faye even found a lovely crocheted dress from the 1970's and when we looked in to the label we found it was worth several hundred pounds!- I can't wait to see her wearing it for her Summer Ball.
Many sights were seen, including Kunsthaus Tascheles, East Side Gallery and Charlottenburg Castle. On one evening we went to a very busy French restaurant where I had a superb ratatouille, while weekend evenings were spent at White Trash and Bassy; both must go tos if you're out in Berlin at the weekend!
My foundation year has come to a close, and the exhibition will be open in several weeks; nervous doesn't cover it. Judgement day is the 18th June when all results are received! Wish me luck..

Wow, looks like a fun time! These photos are fantastic. <3

I went to Berlin last year, it was my first time out of England and I adored it! The whole atmosphere was immense, I especially liked that everyone was riding bicycles! :) Enjoy your exhibition, hope it goes really well! Your comment made me smile too, I dream one day of setting up a shop to sell work and little creations. I need to take a risk I think!
